PPTC Resettable Fuses
(Over-Load Protection)
Possibly the Simplest and Easiest way to
protect your circuits from current over-load and short-circuit
occurrences.
Whether it’s a new device you are building
or simply wish to add extra protection to your household or lab / trade
equipment -
these self –resetting fuses
are absolute “must have” components in your arsenal.
These
Thermistor Fuses have very low resistance in a normal conductive state
but once
tripped they quickly change to a high-resistance -
non-conductive state. They will stay in
tripped state until the device is turned off. Once the power is
switched off
the PPTC Thermistor returns to it’s normal conductive state.

Very neat
and convenient way to insulate and secure things
like wires, terminals and anything else you can imagine…
Just cut a
desired length of this material, put it on and
apply heat from a heat-gun or hair-dryer, (or a flame). The HeatShrink will shrink in size and will tightly form
itself around the object.
These heat
shrinking tubes will reduce at least 50% in size
after applying heat (approximately 135 Degrees C)
